    John says:

The Rider Waite Smith Tarot Cards are probably the best known and are certainly one of the widest used tarot decks in the world. Numerous tarot books have been produced over the years, most of which base their teachings on this deck. The images in the Rider Tarot illustrate the different layers of meaning in each card, which make them ideal for anyone wanting to learn about tarot, while they’re also symbolic enough to satisfy a professional reader.

I wanted to offer a more economical alternative to my premium range for those who want to start learning about tarot but are on a budget. While this Tarot deck is not the same quality as the Original Rider-Waite deck, that I also sell (check out my shop to see the difference), these are factory-produced to a high standard. The colors are a little different, however are nice and bright. The print quality is very good and very nearly the quality of many more expensive decks.

As I normally do, I kept a deck for myself when I got them in, and find them comfortable to handle and very easy to use. These cards are smaller and lighter, meaning they're easier to carry around and fit very nicely in the hand. If you find the size of a standard tarot deck a bit awkward to shuffle, this deck might suit you better. There’s no guidebook with this deck though. Instead, there is a QR code on the box where you can access a PDF file download of the instruction book.

Note: The Original Rider-Waite tarot deck was published by Rider & Co. in 1910 and the current version is available in my shop in another listing. The original designs by Pamela Coleman Smith used in this tarot deck are in the public domain.
